The Blue Breasted Kingfisher is one of the first Kingfishers that I saw in my life (I’m pretty young and a city boy so don’t mind me). It caught my attention as it stood there, basking under the sun and bragging its appearance – both vibrant and bright. Despite it’s fierce appearance, it has a tinge of calamity but still wary of it’s surrounding. It was rather disappointing that we weren’t able to see it in action, although i have to say most must have felt lost and foreign in the new environment they were exposed and as such unable to express it’s nature.
Anyway, this would be the last of The Jurong Bird Park and The Singapore Zoo series, other photos taken from the series can be found in the links here and here. It had been a great experience for us visiting these places. Do stay tuned for more photos of places in Singapore. Ciao.
